Giorgos Loizidis,

Dr. Loizidis began his medical journey at the prestigious National and Kapodistrian University
of Athens in Greece. Upon graduation, he continued his training with an internal medicine
residency at Pennsylvania Hospital and a rheumatology fellowship at the Hospital of the
University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Loizidis holds dual board certifications in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, ensuring a
comprehensive and expert approach to your care. Additionally, he is certified by the American
College of Rheumatology in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, a valuable skill that enables precise
ultrasound-guided joint injections for improved patient outcomes.

Since 2018, Dr. Loizidis has been practicing full-time at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. There, he leads a unique interdisciplinary clinic bridging Rheumatology and Pulmonology for the diagnosis and management of autoimmune interstitial lung diseases, such as those associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Scleroderma.

Dr. Loizidis' areas of expertise encompass a wide range of conditions, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Sjogren's Syndrome, Systemic Sclerosis, Myositis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Seronegative Spondyloarthritis, Reactive Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Vasculitis, Sarcoidosis, and Behcet's Syndrome. At the core of Dr. Loizidis' practice is his patient-centered approach. He believes in tailoring treatment plans to each individual's unique needs, fostering strong partnerships with primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure the most comprehensive and effective treatment of autoimmune conditions.
